Nine Maidens Day Celebration
The annual
celebration of the legend of the Nine Maidens of Glenogilvy will take
place on Sunday 17 June 2012.
A walk
from Glenogilvy to Denoon is followed by a party in Eassie and Nevay Hall.
Leave from Denview,
Glenogilvy and walk through to Wester Denoon, or walk from Wester Denoon
to the bridge close to the Haining and back to Wester Denoon.
Both parties depart
their start point at 1.30pm and make their way to the bridge
for 3pm then the group makes its
way to Wester Denoon then to Eassie and Nevay Hall (transport arranged), arriving
about 5pm for a buffet meal (food and drink provided by those attending), Scottish
country dance tuition, courtesy of Hazel Burgess, and hopefully, music, song
and lots of chat.
Join in and keep
the legend of the nine maidens alive.
There is no fee but
donations on the day towards the Eassie and Nevay Hall Fund will be very
